Eros International’s paid movie streaming service, ErosNow has inked tie-ups to add Bollywood movie titles from UTV and Viacom18 to their catalogue, reports The Hindu BusinessLine.

Through this partnership, ErosNow will be offering around 50 Viacom18 movie titles like Special 26, Chashme Baddoor, Oh My God, Jab We Met and others and UTV movie titles like Rowdy Rathore, Barfi, Rang De Basanti, Jodha Akbar, Kaminey and others. The company said these movies will be available as part of its premium subscription plan Eros Now Premium.

Interestingly, we noticed that Eros Now is currently offering premium subscriptions at a significantly discounted rate of Rs 25 per month, in a possible bid to increase signups. Its not clear whether this pricing is for a limited time period and whether this pricing is specific to India only. Prior to this, the company offered premium subscriptions at $4.99/month, which was later reduced to $2.99/month.

In comparison, Hungama offers monthly plans for Rs 149 (SD Movies) and Rs 249 (HD Movies), while Times Internet’s BoxTV offers monthly subscriptions for Rs 199, Reliance Entertainment’s BigFlix offers monthly subscription plans starting at Rs 249, and Spuul offers monthly plans at Rs 300 per month. However, its worth noting that these players offers significantly higher movie titles on their respective portals and BoxTV & Spuul offer TV content as well.

Besides movies, Eros Now also offers free streaming of music videos and audio tracks and is currently available on the web, iOS, Android, Google TV and Amazon Kindle.
